2nd day of school, Calvin's perspective

Here is our kindergarten kid on her way to day 2 of school, FULL day, all by herself this time!  Calvin took these pics as we were walking.  He was sitting in the stroller.

Here is her school!

As we walked up to the door, a teacher was there to help her find her class room, and she just walked right in.  Without looking back [sniff sniff].  There goes my big kindergarten girl : )

Calvin, Mayzie, and I went to this cool nature park.

They had these amazing sculptures called "steel roots."  Very cool and interactive for the kids.

Mina ended up having a GREAT day on her own.  She has been doing so good and loving her teacher and school.  She has made a bunch of new friends too.  Many mornings as we walk up to school, she'll see a kid in her class, run up to them, say "HI!" and walk into school with them to her class.   So cute!  We are so grateful for a smooth transition into kindergarten.

Mina's first day of Kindergarten!

Mina was very excited for her first day of kindergarten!  My parents house is 3 blocks away from the school, so she gets to walk there.
The first day was shortened, and I got to go with her, so it was extra special and fun!

Here she is with Grandma.

Outside her door.  Her teacher's name is Ms. Consolazio, which she has remembered very well since we found out.

We found her seat, at the red table!

Her first project, to be hung up in the hall.

It was a great first day!
