Thanksgiving

Jackie's parents, sister, and sister's fiance, came to visit for Thanksgiving and to meet
Brick for the first time!

The kids decorated turkeys with everyone's picture on it, they were super fun!

The day after Thanksgiving there was a Holiday Festival in the downtown, with hot cocoa, hayrides, meat-on-a-stick, and the lighting of the Christmas tree!

On the hayride!

Out to dinner with the whole group

While we were all together we had a family picture taken!

And a picture of our family of 6!

Brick's one week pictures

My friend, Melanie, took these beautiful pictures of Brick, when he was just one week old.  We will cherish them always!  His sweet newborn-ness is captured perfectly!

Meet our new baby BOY!

One last picture of the pregnant lady!  And now we proudly introduce...
Brick John, born November 13, at 2:39 a.m.  Weighing 8 pounds 9 ounces, 21 1/2 inches long.  I went into labor on Friday night, and Brick was born early Sunday morning, it was a long labor, but quick delivery, born just 30 minutes after getting to the hospital!
Here are Mina, Calvin, and Mayzie meeting him for the first time.  They were all so excited to FINALLY meet their baby brother!
They have loved getting to watch this new little guy move, make noises, eat, poop, open his eyes, and do everything a baby does.  Brick is truly ADORED by us all!

He looks much like our other babies have, with one exception - light hair!  He has lots of light brown hair, almost strawberry blonde in color!

The kids enjoyed coming to visit Brick and I at the hospital for the couple days we were there, but were so excited to have him come HOME.

The day Brick and I came home was our first big snow.  You can see all the white out the window behind Joe.

Mina is a great big sister.  She loves to hold Brick and carry him.  She is very helpful to me, and loves to help take care of Brick.  She loves to smell him and thinks he is soooo cute.

Calvin is a super big brother.  He is anxious to teach Brick all about being a boy and has already introduced him to some of his favorite super heroes.  He also likes to hold Brick and help out with him.
Mayzie is a super big sis too, although I don't have a picture of her with him!  She is very patient with him when he cries.  When Brick is crying, she is the first to exclaim, "he wants milk!"  She also is good at putting his pacifier in for him.  We are so grateful to have this little sweet boy in our family. We have truly been blessed.

It was a SUPER Halloween!

For Halloween this year all the kids wanted to be SUPER heroes!  Mina was Wonder Woman, Calvin was Batman, and Mayzie was Super Girl!  It was fun having so much SUPER power in the house!

The kids had fun at the the church trunk-or-treat, their school parties, and trick-or-treating on Halloween night in the neighborhood.

Happy 4th Birthday Mayzie!

 Mayzie turned 4 in October!
As is our tradition, we brought her breakfast in bed!  We were dividing up the kids room at the time and doing some construction, so all the kids were sleeping in our guest room at the time.
Mayzie had a bagel with cream cheese and sprinkles, and a cup cake, for breakfast!

Present time!  Mayzie asked for a "swimming doll", and got that from Grandma and Grandpa L., along with a Baby Alive, and some clothes from us and her Grandma and Grandpa C.
For dinner, per her request, we had chocolate waffles!  Mayzie is such a fun, sweet girl!  She loves music and dancing, telling stories, and just started to be a very good color-er!  She loves playing with Mina and Calvin and her friends.  She is a very cheerful, happy girl and we all love being with her!
