I had such high hopes making a gingerbread house from scratch, and making it really cool! Then I saw a food network special about this lady that builds gingerbread houses of famous landmarks, but easily spends 400-500 HOURS doing one house! NO thanks! I was not even willing to give it more than 4 hours. Some friends informed me that you can buy a kit for $8 that includes EVERYTHING, even the candy. So that's what we did! I'll save my grand plans for the future.

More Christmas...
