"Tell me some things that you know about..."
Almost every night in our house, we put the kids in their beds, then spend a few minutes snuggling with them (not Mayzie yet, she is still in a crib!). Whenever I snuggle with Mina she always will say, "Tell me some things that you know about Mommy". Then I proceed to rack my brain and come up with something interesting that I know about! Then she approves of the topic and I tell her all I can think of about it. It's become quite a sweet nightly tradition. Our topics have been everything from sewing, making cupcakes, to painting and the obvious, sharing my testimony of how much she is loved by her heavenly and earthly family. I am so flattered that she thinks that I know so much, and that she loves to listen to me talk about it! I hope we can keep this tradition up until she leaves for college, do you think it will last that long???

Thats a great tradition. I'm sure she'll remember all those things about you and it will be really fun to tell others about her mom.
ReplyDeleteOff topic....how did you come up with your blog name? I'm so curious!
It's all the kids' middle names put together, in no particular order. Mina is Louise, but I call her "Lou" a lot. And Calvin could not say "Joseph" for the longest time, it came out "jofus", which we love!
